After Your Dermal Fillers

  • Right after the procedure, you may feel a bit of swelling or tenderness on the injection sites. This is normal and shouldn’t be a cause for concern — the symptoms should fade after a day or two. To alleviate them, apply ice packs to the affected areas. Also, be sure to abstain from alcoholic beverages, anti-inflammatory medications, and strenuous activities for about a week. To avoid any interactions between makeup components and the dermal filler treatment, avoid applying makeup for one to two days.

You should be able to see results within three to seven days. Some treatments may take longer for their full affect to become apparent, but this is common and does not mean the dermal filler failed.
