Custom Is Never One Size Fits All
Lawddd, everything in aesthetics has been going viral ever since 2020. Aesthetics in general was already on an upward trend way before that, but after everyone critiqued their faces all day on zoom for a year+, and there was a huge push for self-care, did aesthetics really explode!
Then entered all the bloggers and influencers talking about the products and procedures they get paid to talk about. We watch influencers use home face masks and apply skincare products, or go to med spas and get lasered and injected.
By the time my clients reach me, the appointment usually goes 1 of 2 ways. Either they’ve already created themself a treatment plan of the procedures they want; or they’re utterly confused because they’ve heard of 1000 different things they should try from social media, influencers, and aunt Suzie.
So what should you do?
Trick question. You’re not supposed to know! HENCE, the appointment with a medical professional. Don’t get me wrong, I love when clients do their own “research”. But I want to be clear, the treatments and services in aesthetics are not one size fits all. They are customizable to each person. So just because an influencer got lip filler and it looks awesome, doesn’t mean you’re a great candidate for lip filler. You need a MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL to make your recommendations, not an influencer!
