After a dermaplaning procedure, there is no need to plan any downtime. During the two or three days following the procedure, you might experience redness or feel like your skin is scraped. It’s common to notice that your skin looks brighter immediately after a dermaplaning treatment, but it typically takes a few days for you to see what the complete transformation looks like. In the days following your procedure, you’ll be able to see more clearly the results as any redness subsides. The effects of dermaplaning don’t last forever. The procedure removes three weeks’ worth of dead skin cells. The effects of the procedure will fade over three to six weeks.
